Job Function

    Air Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (AOC WS) Senior Staff Analyst will analyze PACAF’s Theater Battle Management (TBM) Command, Control, Communications, Computer Systems and Intelligence (C4I) systems and AOC WS, hardware, and software requirements for input into the Combat Air Forces current system design, development, and test process. Assist in the identification of PACAF TBM C4I system and AOC WS oral, visual, and document release and disclosure requirements to include analysis of the information needed to satisfy PACAF's requirements and shall identify other C4I programs, which may be applicable to the PACAF's TBM C4I and AOC WS requirements and determine the feasibility of integrating the program capabilities into the current or future architectures. As a Subject Matter Expert individual may be required to attend and deliver briefings to the Air Force, Service Component, and Joint TBM C4I and AOC WS working and steering groups. Analyze and evaluate evolutionary TBM C4I systems and AOC WS designs and specifications needed to satisfy the functional and integration requirements of PACAF.

    Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting information and multilevel security issues that may impact the achievement of viable technical solutions to PACAF's TBM C4I and AOC WS architectures. Collection, analysis and evaluation of data pertinent to the design, development, test, and management of PACAF's AOC Weapon Systems. Attend PACAF and CAF TBM working and steering group meetings, analyze the system management and support plans and processes. Analyze the operational users’ change requests, problem reports, and enhancement requests and provide the technical assessments to support validation of said requests and reports. Assist in validating TBM and AOC weapon systems’ Communication-computer Systems Requirements Documents (CSRDs) and Configuration Change Proposals (CCPs) and in evaluating proposed technical solutions for the CSRDs and CCPs.

Requirements

  • Technical support for information protection and network security policies. Command Information Assurance Office provides policy and guidance to ensure the availability, confidentiality and integrity of PACAF theater networks and command and control systems. With the explosive growth of information technology, a corresponding information dependency has developed as an integral part of combat operations.

    Consequently, mission accomplishment is increasingly dependent upon Information Protection and optimized and protected information flow through the Enterprise Network.

Education

Bachelor Degree (preferred) in technical field. Certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Solaris 8 or above Certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Internet Security Systems (ISS), Symantec Intruder Alert (ITA), Symantec Enterprise Security Manager (ESM). Knowledge of network architecture and system components, Knowledge of Air Force and Joint Service advanced computer equipment capabilities and limitations to evaluate and test the security of these systems and develop solutions to unyielding problems in existing command-wide ADP systems, In-depth knowledge of COMPUSEC and EMSEC programs and the AF and joint service policy documents that relate to these programs, In-depth knowledge of communications-computer security techniques, requirements, methods, sources, and procedures, Basic knowledge of Web page development, and skilled in oral and written communications to prepare written reports, operating instructions, supplemental instructions, specifications, and present briefing.
